There are way too many massively multiplayer online games out there. Really, try counting the amount of MMOs out there. It can be done, but it would take a good while, and most of them are pretty "generic." Well, lately we have mentioned a lot of sci-fi and space-themed games, but they have been categorized as point-and-click, first-person-shooters, or RTS. So why not introduce an upcoming sci-fi MMO?
Well, Valencian studio Arpic Games is preparing for the beta version of Starriser, and they will be introducing all the ships that will be available as players begin their voyage into the game. These units will be different than what has been available in the alpha, as there will be different ship classes to choose from, which would allow new gameplay options and expand the overall experience. Similar to a few MMOs like Archeage, players will be able to have unlimited choices and take different paths, such as traders or conquerors, in their MMO life. The ship pack is available for those that join the beta, and those that have been in the alpha are automatically accepted into the beta.
To expand on the details a bit, Starriser is a free-to-play, sci-fi space-themed strategy MMO, with over 4000 registered users. You can sign up for the beta version with this link.
