Point-and-click adventures are becoming pretty prominent again in this day and age. We have StarrMazer, Goetia, The Samaritan Paradox, A Golden Wake, and now we have Morningstar: Descent to Deadrock.

Phoenix Online Publishing and Red Herring Labs have recently released Morningstar: Descent to Deadrock on February 17th, 2015 as the remastered version of the original game released back in 2008. This point-and-click adventure is actually rather atypical by donning a sci-fi first-person theme. The story follows characters that crashed and found themselves stranded on an empty alien planet, and Powell, the protagonist of the story, must save the Morningstar ship and the crew. In order to succeed, he needs to repair the ship on his lonesome and find a way off the planet. Unfortunately, survivability does not seem too great, especially since there are remains of a bigger and better equipped ship nearby.

What has been updated and added are puzzles, scenes and encounters. There is also an all-new streamlined interface, newly remastered cinematics, full voice acting, and a remastered soundtrack.

Those interested in the game can buy the game, combined with the soundtrack, for $9.99 on Steam, the Humble Store, the Phoenix Online Store, and other major online retailers. However, for the first week of the launch, you can purchase the game for $8.99, at a 10% discount. For more information about the game you can visit the site here.

Of course, if visuals are required to pique your interest, you can watch the video below:
