Whoops!
Looks like Amazon may have made a tiny slip-up. On the site, consumers can find preorders for The Art of Halo 5: Guardians, with the release date in plain sight: August 11th, 2015. Though there are those that will scratch their heads as to the importance of this date, fans will recall the release date for the art book of Halo 4, which happened to be the same day as the release of Halo 4.
The official scheduled release date is sometime in the fall, which is rather odd, considering that August falls before... fall. Needless to say, the Art of Halo 5: Guardians is available for preorder for $34.20 - a unique price, but it's because you can save 24% off the MSRP of $45.00. So until we can get an official release date, we can continue our romps in the multiplayer beta, which is constantly being improved as 343 Industries accepts player feedback. We can also expect a 2015 television series based on the Halo franchise, which is being produced by, astonishingly enough, the almighty Steven Spielberg and is expected to be aired on Showtime.
Lots of video-game related television shows being released, eh? After all, we can look forward to the upcoming Netflix original TV series of Zelda.
Either way, we can hope that Amazon has actually let the cat out of the bag and that we will see Halo 5 on August 11th. Nevertheless...
For shame, Amazon. For shame!
Though, exciting to say the least.
