Star Wars Battlefront Trailer and Info Released

So while the Star Wars: Battlefront leak earlier this week was certainly informative, it didn’t actually tell us much about what we can expect in the next game. Fortunately, EA didn’t use the leak as an excuse to back down on giving us the information we so desperately need, and today has doubled down on the Star Wars goodness to not only give us more information about the title, but also give us a spiffy new trailer showing off… some CGI from the game. But still, it’s good.

And some quotes from the press release, which came out a few hours before the trailer was loosened onto the world…

“Battlefront” will focus on frenzied shoot-outs between up to 40 players portraying Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire forces. In a demonstration of the game’s multiplayer mode, a team of jetpack-equipped rebels were shown carving their way through the woodsy Endor while Stormtroopers charged at them on foot, on speeders and within walkers, including a hulking AT-AT war machine.

Sounds like the Battlefront we know and love! DICE, while it may get a lot of crap for recycling the same game over and over, can at least be credited for being the best at their trade; so love them or hate them, this Battlefront game will at least be refined and polished to a shine.

The release date of November 17th hasn’t changed… mark your calendars, folks!
