Time for another Electronic Arts-related game story!

It's clear that Plants vs. Zombies carries a dominating presence the gaming industry, whether we like it or not (personally, I sorta like Plants vs. Zombies). Plants vs. Zombies have always been accessible to a multitude of players, after all.

Today, PopCap Vancouver has announced that more than 8 million players have played Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare. Geez, that's almost just four million shy of Fallout 4, and Fallout 4 was much more hyped and anticipated. Then again, PvZ: GW has been out for over a year now...

Either way, to celebrate, all Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare players will receive 80,000 PvZ coins, which they will find in their Garden Warfare accounts. Since its release in February of 2014, Garden Warfare managed to sap 1.4 billion games out of its players, which averages out to just a little over 1,600 matches per minute. Want another statistic? Well, over 7 billion zombies succumbed to the destruction of the plants.

Sounds like a lot? Well, that's because it is.

The battle against the zombies in Garden Warfare is just beginning, because next year, on February 23, the battle will turn tides, as zombies have taken over Suburbia. Will the plants be able to take back what belonged to them? Perhaps, but that will be all up to you.

Players who have been playing the original Garden Warfare will have the ability to transfer almost all of their unlocked characters to Garden Warfare immediately. At least that's an awesome perk!
