Well, you can't make this stuff up! Recently a man (unnamed) from Okehampton, UK went on a rage filled drive to his brothers (unnamed) house after being killed in Grand Theft Auto V. His brother had to call police when he arrived with a baseball bat after being threatened via text message with the following;

"I'm going to kill you and I'm going to make your kids and wife watch while you're being killed, I'm going to kill your kids in front of your wife and when she's crying I'm going to shoot her."

The brother who is a father of two children said his sibling is in his thirties and began to send him death threats shortly after the game. At first he didn't take him seriously until he showed up at his doorstep! He actually drove 50 miles to Plymouth, UK and began screaming through his letterbox. The brother had this to say of the altercation;

"The next night he's knocking my door with a baseball bat shouting "I'm going to kill you like you killed my GTA character", It's like he tried to act GTA out in real life."

Later the police confirmed they spent an hour or so at the address dealing with the incident and a spokesman said the following;

"Officers learned it was because one of the men had killed the other's character. They were not children these were adults."

The brother said he was still shaken up and has moved his family to another location until things cool down. He had this to say about his sibling;

"I think it is silly and sad that a man in his 30s would want to do this but when he came to my door with my one-year-old and three-year-old there, with a baseball bat and saying 'I'm going to kill you like you killed me on the game', well I think the police needed to be called"

"It's shaken me and my family and it's split my brothers and sisters. This is more than a stupid story - it started off as a domestic argument. I told him to grow up, but he wouldn't listen.

'Police have warned him to stay away, but he's still sending me texts and threats to kill me. It may well lead to more police action if he turns up at my place again.'

'I work for a living, pay my taxes and after a hard day I sometimes come home and late in the evening, after the children are put to bed, I play video games to unwind and blow off steam.

'For me, it's just a reality escape. There are people out there who treat it too seriously."

It's sad that we live in a day and age in which people are willing to go to extreme acts of violate over video games. We have killings over Xbox One's and all kinds of other threats of rape, murder and the like. One wonders can anything be done to curb this in some people? Is it a mental defeat or something the game actually caused?
