Because Rockstar could really stand to make another billion dollars off this game

Probably the least surprising E3 announcement so far is that Rockstar Games is going to bring their sales record setting GTA V to the systems that don't have it yet. In an investor call last month it was already outed that they had a title on next gen systems being released this fiscal year... this was the obvious choice.

The port has obviously been planned for a while with a fall 2014 release date... meaning we'll be getting it in just a few months. It also appears that it might come with additional story content, which was already planned as DLC for those who bought the game last year. There's also new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover according to Rockstar.

The PlayStation 4 version will let you port over your save from either the 360 or PS3 version of the game, and the PC version comes with an exclusive video editor for sharing all your crazy moments (and mods) online.

Why can't GTA V win GOTY two years in a row? Or Last of Us for that matter... lots of deja vu in the fall release schedule.
