Microsoft E3 2015's Conference is happening now, with lots of games showcased. Here are the main highlights from the show:
  • We have, of course Halo 5's multiplayer, of which can be checked out here.
  • ReCore is an exclusive title arriving to Xbox One. You can read more about it in our article here.
  • There will be backwards compatability, both physically and digitally. Xbox Previewers will access the initial catalog today, whereas everyone else will receive the catalog this holiday.
  • The Elite Controller is arriving later this year and comes with pro-level precision, hair trigger locks, game-changing accuracy, swappable components, and inward triggers. (Editor's Note: Why am I like a child on Christmas over a controller?)
  • Bethesda has showcased Fallout 4 again, of which you can find in our article here. If creating mods using the PC version, these mods can be transferred to Xbox one for free.
  • Titanfall will join EA access this week. EA will be bringing DA: Inquisition on Xbox One to the EA Access Vault. All Gold members will be able to access the vault for the week.
  • Garden Warfare 2 has been announced, and it will be the "funniest, craziest shooter experience."
  • The Ford GT returns in celebration of 50th anniversary. It looks sleek, beautiful, and more than likely, expensive. (Editor's Note: Did this become a car show?) Forza Motorsport 6 is, as expected, an Xbox One exclusive, and it features the Ford GT. The title includes 26 famous destinations running at 1080p and 60 frames per second, over 450 cars, and 24-player competitions. The game will releases September 15, 2015.
  • From Bandai Namco and FromSoftware comes an ominous title, dressed in bleakness and decrepit environments. A colossal king-like entity appears with a weapon, frightening and threatening. Oh, it's Dark Souls III, coming 2016!
  • Tom Clancy's: The Division involves a deadly virus, tearing society apart as victims attacked each other. "We're activated as a last resort." Editor's Note: Not going to lie, that feels creepy. Xbox One players will be able to try exclusive beta at the end of this year. Additionally, October 13 marks the release of Rainbow Six Siege. Rainbow Six Vegas and Rainbow will arrive for free with Rainbow Six Siege.
  • The Rise of the Tomb Raider game was showcased. You can check out the gameplay here.
  • For Windows 10 and Xbox One exclusive comes a game that is vibrant, colorful. Choose your own hero, meet your guardian and unleash that guardian! Titled Gigantic, it will be available for free, and the beta will be available in August.
  • We can look forward to quite a few indie games such as the Molasses Flood, Phantasmal, The Solus Project, Westerado: Double Barrels, Sword Coast Legends, Outward, Goat Simulator: Mmore Goats Edition, The Behemoth, Below, Ark Survival Evolved, Recruits, and Superhot. Fullbright, creators of Gone Home, showcased Tacoma. The plot asks this question: What happened to the crew of Lunar Transfer Station Tacoma? Devoid of life (save yourself) and similar to Gone Home, you discover what happens to the crew with the help of Odin and various clues. Aurora44 created a harsh open world title, Ashen, where your choices impact every decision. Run from foes? Harm friends? The art style is a bit gray resember, and the characters are faceless, which suggest a sense of universality. Beyond Eyes, created by Tiger and Squid, is about a blind girl exploring the world to show players that they should embrace hope. Pastels and watercolor seem to make up the art direction of this title, and the music utilizes the piano beautifully. Cuphead, by Studio MDHR, is a game reflects the artistic style of the '30s cartoon, complete with silent dialog. Face trains, dragons, bees, cuckoos, skeletons, and sea witches in an effort to defeat the devil.
  • New Pilot Program, titled Xbox Game Preview, similar to Steam's Early Access will arrive. Every game comes with a free trial, and Long Dark, Shelter, Elite: Dangerous, and Day Z will be available first. Check out our full article on the announcement here.
  • Ion, coming to Game Preview, is a sci-fi title.
  • Rare will be releasing 30 hit games for 30 bucks in a collection titled Rare Replay. The title will be available August 4th and will contains Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and more.
  • Additionally, there is a new Rare game, titled Sea of Thieves, a first person adventure game. At the beginning, it reminds me of Donkey Kong Country in first person, but instead, it seems like a game focused on being a pirate. Loot treasure, tackle threats, throw someone to overboard.
  • Fable Legends appears again and is free-to-play on Windows 10 and Xbox One. The versions are integrated, so no worries!
  • Microsoft has entered a brand new relationship with Valve VR to make Windows 10 the best platform for VR.
  • Also, the Xbox Controller will be released alongside every Oculus headset. It can stream Xbox One games to Windows 10 to the Oculus. Then we have the HoloLens, the first holographic computer headset powered by Windows 10.
  • A new version of Minecraft will be built specifically for the HoloLens. It looks baffling, amazing, and I can't even fathom. You can control the Minecraft world from your table with your voice, three-dimensionally! It's like a far more complex version of the Nintendo 3DS. You can even cause lightning strikes with your voice!
  • Gears of War Ultimate Edition has been officially announced, featuring 60 FPS and 1080p, and the public beta starts today.
  • Then we have Gears of War 4, where the characters look much more finely tuned, pumped up, and begins with two characters on the hunt for a monster. You can check out the gameplay video here:

Surprisingly, no Call of Duty announcement. And there you have it for the Microsoft Press Conference! What do you think of it overall?

Personally, I think they did a lot better than last year, but I think that it didn't leave as heavy an impact as expected. I probably was simply too over-hyped by their promises. Below you can catch the Microsoft E3 Press Conference video here (To watch the actual conference, skip to 9:00):
