Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection Coming to Xbox One and PC

Zoo Tycoon is back. The famous zoo building and management simulator will be receiving its next iteration this Halloween. 

Coming this October 31 is Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection, which is an updated gameplay experience for Windows 10 and Xbox One. Like the previous game, the player goes around a large plot of land, expanding the infrastructure to support more amusements and animals. The goal is to keep a zoo financially and socially stable. The series was a spin-off inspiration of the more well-known game series Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Originally announced back in August, Microsoft has recently posted a trailer showing off gameplay of the new game as well as features such as multiplayer online functionality. Fan reception has been mixed, with some criticizing the trailer for underwhelming graphics, low framerate, or the potential for DLC and microtransactions.

I've been a fan of Zoo Tycoon since it first released back in 2001, so while I would love to see this game succeed, I have little hope and I fear it will fall to the wayside. Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection will release on October 31. You can watch the aforementioned trailer below.
