The Zero Escape series is an amazing one, featuring all sorts of puzzles, death, and drama. Unfortunately, it's easy to miss out on the first title, 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, since it has only been on the DS... until now. Today, Aksys Games has announced that they are porting 999 to "other platforms." This came from the publisher panel at Anime Expo 2016. It's about time that 999 is ported to other platforms. More than likely, it will be ported to the Vita, 3DS, and PC, but will it be remastered in some way or updated to suit the systems? I could imagine that happening, more than likely.

I am looking forward to it, considering the fact that I haven't played the original. I did, however, play Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward and am currently working on Zero Time Dilemma.

By the way, for those interested in a good mind screw and some good puzzles and dark happenstances, pick up Zero Time Dilemma. Really. You're welcome. And if you haven't played the previous two titles, then you should. I probably should follow my own suggestion and pick up 999.
