The Japanese-oriented 2D action-adventure RPG Dragonrider is striving to be Greenlit on Steam, and to do that, it needs your vote in order to make that dream happen.
But before the game can secure your vote, you need to know what it's all about, don'tcha?
Well, Dragonrider, brought to you by Fuego Games, is a retro title that actually resembles Zelda II, in terms of gameplay, aesthetic, and puzzle mechanics.
But the story? Sumo Warrior Mogami has inherited dragon's blood, and, with the aid of his loyal dragon, he confronts the Stone Army, a powerful foe mentioned in a Japanese prophecy. As Mogami, players will be able explore the island, fight against the Stone army with your dragon, and solve puzzles with the aid of your dragon. The dragon also accompanies you in battle, whether in defensive or offensive stance.
There will be three main characters, all unique, and there will be a two-player co-op mode. The game will assuredly be story-driven, as you will encounter many NPCs that will unfold the tale as you progress toward the goal of saving Japan.
So if you are a major fan of the old-school Zelda II back in the day, you should definitely vote for Dragonrider on Steam Greenlight. Dragonrider is currently being developed for PC, Ouya and Mac. There is crowdfunding planned for this game, but in the meantime, you can follow Dragonrider on Twitter and Facebook.
