Well, you know me, I like EA more than most, and I’m always willing to post an article if it makes EA look a little bit better… especially if that article means free stuff for you!

Origins might pale in comparison in size and scope to Steam, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its own benefits. For example, if you have an Origins account—or you’re willing to make one—then I have some good news for you: for a limited time, you can grab Sim City 2000 from EA absolute free, thanks to the “On the House” program the provider runs.

It’s pretty simple: you go to the game’s Origin page, you hit “get it now”, and bam—it’s linked to your origin account and you can play it free forever. Granted, it’s normally only six dollars, so… if you miss this limited window you won’t be out much, but still, grab it while the getting’s good.

No word as to why this game is free, or even how long it will remain that way, but considering it’s called one of the better in the series, it’s probably worth snagging ASAP.
