It just keeps getting better.

I've been excited for Yooka-Laylee since the Kickstarter went live. Every update that comes out really strengthens that feeling. With each video and bit of news, Yooka-Laylee looks more like classic platformers like Banjo-Kazooie. That's not surprising seeing that Yooka-Laylee is a spiritual that piece of N64 perfection. The most recent update includes a set of party-style minigames. Taking a page from party games like Mario Party, the Yooka-Laylee game will feature an arcade with several different games to choose from. And to top it all off, they're all set for multiplayer action.

The games can be found in Rextro's Arcade (get it?). From the video above, it seems the games will range from obstacle races to battle arenas. There will be 8 games in total to pick from. Each one is designed to play with friends, but single-player options are available for the friendless.

Yooka-Laylee gets more impressive the more I learn about it. I really can't wait for the game's launch this April. And if you're a fan of N64 era platforming games, I bet you can't either.
