YEI Technology already makes a motion capture rig and software kit that sells for $4,000, and they are now hoping to create a full-body harness that sells for just $400. Other motion capture suits by competitors sell for about $60k, so this is an amazing accomplishment if they can pull it off.

KEI is launching a Kickstarter campaign to make the $400 motion capture suit possible, although for now, no video game consoles will work with it. The video below shows a game developed by YEI, so don't expect to use it for your new Playstation 4 or Xbox One.

The price of sensors has dropped dramatically and it's likely we will see more affordable gadgets with motion sensor capabilities. They are used in widely in phones, but it is now possible for companies to create more affordable motion capture products, such as the full-body suits.

This $400 harness has 16 sensors, three on each leg and arm, and then three on the the body and three on the head. As you can see in the video below, it does a great job at picking up your movement to really get you in the game.
