It's time for a little bit of a celebration! What kind of celebration, you might ask? Well, XSEED Games has recently announced that Story of Seasons - part of the 20-year-old Bokujo Monogatari (Harvest Moon) series - has sold more than 150,000 units in North America, while Rune Factory 4 - my favorite entry of the Rune Factory series - has sold over 200,000 units.

In commemoration of the achievement, both games have received a permanent $10 price drop to $29.99.

On a side note, XSEED Games also announced a pre-order bonus that will be tied to the upcoming Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns for the Nintendo 3DS. Introducing the capybara pet, which is absolutely adorable. The "pocket plushie" stands at 3.5 inches tall and will be available at participating retailers.

Anyway, back to the milestones for a moment. According to Ken Berry, Executive Vice President of Marvelous USA:

"We feel incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing fan base for these games. The sales figures speak volumes as to how much fan support can affect what games we can bring to North America. We hope the long-awaited price drops will introduce the games to a new audience, gearing them up for the release of Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns in early 2017."

Are Story of Seasons and Rune Factory 4 worth it? You bet, especially Rune Factory 4.

My 80-hour, incomplete save file can vouch for that.
