XCOM 2's Robot Companions are Ready to Go

It worked so well for Fallout!

XCOM 2 is still a thing, and even more DLC is being released for it despite the fact Fireaxis should really be 100% focused on bringing out that console version ASAP, but at the very least this looks like the kind of DLC I could get behind: after all, what's better than fighting aliens? Fighting aliens with sentient robots with Shen's Last Gift!

Instead of bringing boring old humans to fight the aliens, you can now build your own custom robot army, who can fly, shoot rockets, and generally kick all kinds of butt to fight on your behalf. This existed in a limited way back in the first XCOM, with an upgradable drone that could take a soldier's place in the battlefield, but this is taking that concept and taking it about five notches up.

Exciting stuff. You can get Shen's Last Gift... now, if you want, for $9.99, or free if you bought the Season Pass.
