Xbox One has been seeing some price drops over the past year. For quite awhile it dropped from $400 to $350, but recently it has dropped to a flat $299. Now's the perfect time to get one, if you're contemplating purchasing one. But at the same time, this is ahead of E3 2016, which has been the focal point of rumors regarding the Xbox Scorpio and Xbox One Slim.
In regards to the Xbox Slim, which is to be an updated piece of hardware that is obviously slimmer and is reported to be 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One and is to carry 4K video support.
Not only that, but there have been speculation swirling around the Xbox Scorpio, or the equivalent to the PlayStation Neo/4.5/whatever, which is set to release sometime in 2017 and is supposedly four times as powerful as the Xbox One. This only fuels the fire of the rumors.
Hopefully we'll see some announcement then for the Xbox One Slim at this year's E3, but I think I would save my money for the Xbox Scorpio next year. Still, I feel that if I sold my Xbox One and got a slim, I would offset the costs in electricity somehow. Anyway, unless you want an Xbox Scorpio (if that will ever be confirmed, because we don't know) or want an Xbox One Slim (same deal), then you should jump on the price drop if you've been drooling for one.
