Xbox Live Faces Stabilization Issues

Uh oh, seems like Xbox Live is suffering some major issues. Earlier today (July 26) many reports mentioned issues regarding sign-in difficulty and friend viewing, but recently the services appear to have stabilized.

As of 5:17 PM PDT, however, the Xbox Live status page noted this:

The purchase and content usage is limited on Xbox One and "Xbox on other devices." Affected services are buying downloadable items. Here are the additional details on the matter:

Having trouble purchasing content or subscriptions? We’re working to fix this as soon as we possibly can. Thanks for hanging in there while we work. Additionally, are you unable to launch previously purchased digital titles? We’re working to fix this as well! Thanks for your patience, Xbox members. We’ll fill you in as soon as we have more information on these issues.

As of 5:19 PM PDT, the Social and Gaming Limited services remain limited, but only in terms of achievements. The affected platforms are Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Xbox on other devices.

Hopefully, nothing major occurs to disrupt service entirely, but we'll update you if that happens.
