Wreck-It Ralph might not be directly related to video games, so it's not normally the kind of thing we'd talk about, but it's absolutely tangentially related, given that it's a big ol' CGI romp set in the world of video games where several video game characters make cameo appearances big and small. And also, I love it a whole bunch, so I'm going to do it anyway--especially since it was just announced over Disney's facebook that the long-expected sequel, Wreck-it Ralph 2, is actually going to be a thing.

Set to come out in 2018, Wreck-it Ralph will take the old crew from the first movie and move them to the internet, where Ralph, as he's want to do, will accidentally break the entire world-wide web. Which would be a catastrophe in reality that would ruin millions of lives and could likely result in the deaths of thousands, but is sure to be a wacky, fun-filled adventure in Disney's digital world!

Of course, with Ralph moving to the realm of computers, that means it's going to be hard to fit so many classic arcade characters into the plot, but it does mean we can get some PC gaming references in the mix! Here's hoping for Halo, Doom, and maybe even Tankmen? Not likely, but we can hope!

I love this movie way too much, guys, so I'm seriously pumped for the sequel. 2018 can't come soon enough!
