Witcher 3 Patch will Include More Detailed Love Triangle

Yennefer beware, we've got a new reason to look the other way.

So, the last of the free Witcher 3 DLC was released a while back, and people were understandably upset, if not excited for the paid DLC that will, supposedly, be nearly as large as the Witcher 2 alone. But just because CD Projekt Red is done producing free DLC, doesn’t mean the game is done getting free content: namely, in the next patch (at some indeterminate time in the future) CD Projekt Red is going to address players concerns over the rather lackluster love triangle.

See, if you’ve played the game (and disclaimer, I have not) you’ll know there are two main romantic subplots, aside from all those one-night stands you could be having: Triss Merigold and Yennefer of Vengerberg. Yennefer is the “cannon” choice, considering the novels that spawned the games, and her and Gerald have more to ‘do’ when they get together. Triss, on the other hand, feels significantly underdeveloped, and that has fans rather miffed.

Fortunately, CD Projekt Red is going to give that particular love subplot a special love injection.

“We’ll be adding some additional dialogue for Triss and Yennefer in the upcoming patch due to the fan feedback. We’ve read many opinions on our forums where gamers weren’t satisfied with the way their romance choices were fleshed out, so we wanted to change that by adding some extra conversational options.”

So there you have it. All you GeraldxTriss lovers out there can rejoice. The rest of us can continue not caring very much.
