There are new and exciting updates coming to the surprisingly enjoyable Call of Duty WWII. Just like games such as Overwatch, COD WWII is going to feature seasonal events, and the newest edition starts tomorrow, December 8. The most shocking announcement regarding this update is that the features are all free. I know, Call of Duty giving out free content sounds like the beginning of the rapture but it's true.
The new update will feature the return of the beloved Gun Game from past Call of Duty games, the new snow-laden Carentan map for multiplayer (even for those without the season pass), and pleasant winter scenery for the headquarters. Oh, and how could I forget the lovely special edition microtransactions they have added for the update! Winter Siege supply drops are now available, with special wintery loot inside.
If this festive bonanza doesn't tickle your fancy, then wait - there's more! A video uploaded earlier this week revealed footage of the new update and, of course, content that wasn't supposed to be in the video was - in fact - in the video. The real exciting part is that the update features two potentially new guns that might be familiar to those who have played past World War COD games, the Sten and Gewehr 43. For those who are fans of sub-machine guns featuring odd side magazines and single shot rifles (oh boy, another one), then these guns will be for you! Check it out this Friday through January 2, 2018.
