It was only yesterday that we have heard rumors that Nintendo was ceasing its Wii U production this Friday, but today, Nintendo reported that the rumor was simply "not true."

According to Eurogamer, multiple sources reported that the Wii U's production was going to end quite soon, but the big N declined to comment when it was contacted.

However, IT Media, a Japanese site, reported that a Nintendo spokesperson claimed that, "There is no change to our continuing [Wii U] production." While the person didn't know of the article's details, they claimed that the report in itself was simply untrue.

"Even though the Nintendo Switch is slated to go on sale, [Wii U] production is scheduled to continue." Furthermore, there are Wii U titles planned for release.

So for now, it appears as if the Wii U will continue to live, though for how long would be anyone's guess.
