We Happy Few is set in a dystopian universe where the entire public is forced to take a medication called "Joy". This drug makes them mindlessly happy slaves, and you put yourselves in the shoes of a citizen who refuses to take the pills and attempts to escape. The art style and general feel of the game are similar to BioShock, while still maintaining its uniqueness.

We Happy Few was released to Steam early access back in 2015, but under the publisher Gearbox, We Happy Few is getting a full release on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 next year. If you played the early access version of the game, you'll notice that the full version will be hitting retail for $60, but until its release date, you can pre-order it for $51.

The retail version of the game will apparently be much more content rich that the early access version, and it will receive DLC in the future, which of course means there will be a Season Pass. We Happy Few will hit the shelves on April 13th, 2018. Mac and Linux versions will arrive later on.

In other news, We Happy Few is also getting a film adaptation!
