WayForward Announced Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition

Great news comes to hardcore Shantae enthusiasts or even those who simply missed out on one of their most recent Shantae games. Developers WayForward has announced Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition.

From high definition graphics to new game modes, Ultimate edition is the complete package for one of the most popular games in the series. Pirate Queens Quest will allow players to take up arms not as our familiar genie, but as her pirate rival, Risky Boots in her own story. The Friends to the End game mode has players swapping between the quirky supporting roles of Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops.

There will also be the Costume Pack mode. This mode is more arcade-like than the others, letting the player take part in side games relating to two costumes: Ninja, Beach, and Officer.

Not enough? Want something more exclusive? How about the Tinkerbat Transformation, Blue Shantae Costume, and Classic Risky Boots costume? No? Alright, you're a tough customer. Ultimate edition will also feature a new costume never before available. In Beach Mode, you can brandish Shantae's signature Blue Bathing Suit.

Those who get a hold of the Ultimate Edition physically on day one will also be privy to a music CD and an art book.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam in Spring of 2018 for $29.99.
