Which, again, isn’t surprising. But the leak did come with some extra information about the game that might be interesting. For one: it’s going to place itself in a post-brexit London, which does a really good job, I think, in communicating just how non-political Ubisoft games are. I can’t think of a single more non-political setting than a post-brexit London, can you?
Anyway, it’s got one more special gimmick this time around: the Legion name apparently comes from the fact that you can play, well… anyone, apparently.
Play as anyone, Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems
That’s quite the claim. I’d be willing to bet there’s some RNG involved, and that they’ll pull the Skyrim thing and have a handful of voice actors for a couple million different people, but the gimmick itself looks interesting… if possibly problematic. After all, Watch Dogs is a game about hacking, right? So is this supposed to suggest everyone has chips in their brains and you can hack into them to control their bodies?
Probably not. But it’s the first thing I thought of.
