In a world where the co-op shooter game has fallen to the wayside, there is one noble game standing strong to overcome the adversity, and it just got a sequel. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has been announced.

Games like Left 4 Dead, Borderlands, and Killing floor have either been laid to rest or been underwhelming in its popularity as of late.  It is refreshing to see that Warhammer: Vermintide has done well enough to merit a new iteration to the series.

Announced earlier today with a reveal trailer (seen below), the first-person fantasy coop game will have more classes, more campaigns, and more features than the predecessor. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 looks as good as it sounds, with upgraded graphics and its visceral melee system.

With a release date of "early 2018", the only thing you can do now is preorder the game on Steam for $29.99. If you visit the official site for Vermintide 2 you can also sign up for potential Beta access.

I've watched my friends play through the first Vermintide game cooperatively and I think it's safe to say that if you have others to play alongside, then Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be well worth every penny
