We recently reported on Warframe coming to the Nintendo Switch. While this is certainly big news for the free-to-play game, it's not the only one.

Developer Digital Extreme mentioned more at TennoCon, a fan-based expo about the game. They plan to bring a new faction, new lore, and an improved world to the game. This is much like they did with the Plains of Eidolon, but for Venus.

Titled Fortuna, this update will introduce the Solaris United, a group of cyborgs that live in the Blade Runner-esque Debt-Internment Colony, Fortuna. This acts as a hub location, similar to Eidolon's Cetus. Players will be able to scour Venus' cold, modern landscape looking for seascape flora, giant mushrooms, alien rock formations, rare creatures, and more.

After this update will come a new expansion, Codename: Railjack. Due after this year, the expansion will introduce surface-to-space combat encounters. Players will be able to work together, taking on different roles in operating a spaceship. This includes repairing shields, firing weapons, and piloting the ship. An 11-minute preview was also released, giving us a better idea of how it'll work.

There will also be two more Warframes joining the roster. More information on that as it becomes apparent.
