Sometimes a game catches your eye, even if the genre of said game doesn't always appeal to your tastes. For me, that happens to be Wailing Heights, a musical adventure game set in a small unknown town home to vegan werewolves, hipster vampires, soul-FUL zombies and other oddities. And you, Frances Finklestein, the one-time manager of the greatest rockband ever (The Deadbeats), are trapped in a jail cell for committing the crime of being alive. Fortunately, you gain the power to "body-hop", the ability to jump into other bodies, and with that skill you must free yourself from your cell.
I've written about this title a couple of times, one focusing on the announcement trailer and the other being the fact it garnered much attention on Steam's now-crushed Greenlight service. I've even gone so far as to interview Scott Grandison, the mastermind behind Wailing Heights. All in all, it's a pretty solid title, so it's no wonder that Wailing Heights has finally launched on the PlayStation 4, complete with its own trailer:
Unfortunately, it doesn't highlight any gameplay, but it is generally a point-and-click-style adventure game featuring quite a few puzzles and an up-beat tone.
Anyway, the Outsider Games'-developed title is available now for the PlayStation 4 at the low price of $11.99 ($10.79 for PS Plus members). If you're a point-and-click adventure type of person, you shouldn't hesitate to pick this up!
