Ubisoft has revealed details on it's latest VR title called Space Junkies. It's described as a jetpack-fueled arcade shooter that takes use of the Virtual Reality experience to deliver visceral, fast-pace multiplayer in SPACE! Awesome!

The game is being developed by Montpellier. It has 1v1, 2v2 inside a Tron-like atmosphere, sort of.  You'll be able to customize your arsenal and join via Oculus or Vive VR.  The game is powered by Brigitte, a proprietary VR engine.  From the looks of it, it reminds me a little of Into Orbit that we detailed last year. Here's how the Game developer describes the game overall.

"Space Junkies is for VR players who are looking for something new and insane and that will get their competitive juices flowing, said Adrian Lacey, Producer, Ubisoft Montpellier. We are creating a multiplayer, competitive, adrenaline-filled shooter thats out of this Galaxy, and gives players freedom to take full advantage of the evolution of player to machine interfaces that only virtual reality can offer."

There's no word on when a trailer will drop but check back for that as I'm sure it will come out soon.  The game itself is set for a Spring 2018 launch.
