Voodoo Vince is a Xbox Exclusive platformer that was released for the original Xbox back in 2003. It never made it to Xbox 360, and stayed as an exclusive, until now anyway. However, Microsoft announced that Beep Industries is developing a Remastered version of the game, and it will be coming to Xbox one as well as PC in April. It's always great news when an Xbox or PS4 exclusive ends up being ported to the PC for all of us to enjoy. If only we could convince Microsoft to port over some other exclusives....cough....Halo....cough.
Voodoo Vince as you may have already guessed is a voodoo doll. He becomes separated from his keeper, Madam Charmaine. His quest is to once again reunite with his loving partner, traveling through harsh environments and fighting through various types of enemies along the way. Beep Industries claims that the game has been kept in the exact same state that it was originally in back in 2003, but with the added benefits of 60 fps and 1080p resolution as well as soundtrack updates and remixes by the original composer, Steve Kirk. While it may not be a triple A title, sometimes it's not about the amount of money that goes into the game, and how commercially successful it is, but it's the experience that it provides for the player. There are without a doubt a big percentage of Xbox players who have sweet reminiscences of Voodoo Vince and will be happy for its return in 1080p.
Though Voodoo Vince is definitely not one of the most well known Xbox Exclusives, but it's definitely a welcomed addition to the Xbox and Windows 10 store. Remasters, no matter how popular they may be, are always great nostalgic trips back in time for many gamers. Voodoo Vince will be available on April 18th via the Xbox store, Windows store and also Steam.
