It's hard to remember an internet before Vine videos. It's been everywhere for quite a while. If you ever wanted to get famous on a six second video, then Vine was the way to do it. It came as an unexpected shock when we all found out that Vine was going away. Not changing. Not being revamped. Just going away forever.

People haven't been able to create new vines for a while now. If you wanted to check out already existing Vines, you still could. But that time has come to an end. Tuesday is the last day people can download their favorite Vines before they're gone forever. After that, all we'll have are YouTube compilations.

Like this one.

Vines are going away, but that doesn't mean they'll be soon forgotten. The internet is a constantly changing beast. As Vines fade away, something else will take its place. That's the way it's been, and that's the way it will always be.
