CI Games has had a pretty rough time with the release of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, but in a recent interview with Eurogamer, they did admit that although the team behind Lords of the Fallen 2 is significantly smaller than the original team, it is definitely still in development, and they hope to make it a truly amazing sequel.

Marek Tyminski explains that although their games might not be up to AAA standards, they still focus on producing quality gameplay, and although progress is half as slow as the first game, they feel this is the right path for making Lords of the Fallen 2 the best game it could possibly be.

it doesnt mean that we are not continuing with Lords of the Fallen we definitely have that game in our plans and we definitely want to make this a great game. Were very serious about Lords of the Fallen the sequel. Its nothing like going halfway: this is definitely the quality way.
