Do you long for the days of strapping on your flight helmet, taking off and strafing bogies out of the sky? Wait, yeah, there's a good chance most of you reading this aren't or haven't been a real fighter pilot in your life, but of course much respect to those of you who are of course but we're talking about a hot new flight simulator game called Vector Thrust.

This flight Sim launched into Steam Early Access back in August of last year and they just reported that they have gone into full Beta. The game, created by TimeSymmetry and published by Iceberg Interactive has a growing community, a ton of positive reviews and a pretty cool cel-shaded artistic style to it that other Sims don't seem to have.

Here's what TimeSymmetrys Cláudio Rodrigues had to say about the game going into Beta;

I am very excited to see Vector Thrust reach the final stage of development as we are now officially entering Beta, I hope all players will enjoy this new Beta build with many new additions and Im looking forward to revealing even more surprises along the way.

Vector Thrust Beta puts new features into play with more aircraft, weapons and 50 missions total. Below is a list of the new Beta features;
  • 20 new playable aircraft
  • Lots of new weapons
  • New boss units
  • More than 50 new missions
  • New visual effects
  • Several new maps

I will say that boss units are always the most enjoyable and not always seen in flight Sims. The game also sports an unpredictable and vicious Quick Action mode and Skirmish Mode so that you can dive straight into the action. Players are also able to alter many aspects of the game from simple tweaks to overall modifications such as user-made skins, changing unit performance parameters and also setting up battle scenarios with a Campaign Editor.

The game is currently on sale for $19.99 so head on over to the Vector Thrust Steam page and snag a copy.
