What if Gaben announced your kill streak? This is now a reality to select Dota 2 players, thanks to the Gabe Newell Mega Kills Pack.

One of the ways Dota 2 sets itself apart from other MOBAs has been through Announcer Packs. These optional, microtransaction purchases let the player replace the traditional announcer voice with those of their favorite heroes. This includes characters from other mediums, such as Bastion, Fallout 4, Portal 2, and even Rick and Morty. The available packs vary from complete announcer replacement to just replacing the mega kills declaration.

To support Dota+, a monthly subscription service to aid players and help them improve, Valve has released a special mega kills-only pack featuring Valve's founder, Gabe Newell. The announcement was made through an entertaining video of the company boss struggling in the recording booth.

The Gabe Newell Mega Kills Pack is available for free to all Dota+ members. Dota 2 is free to play, while Dota+ comes at $3.99 a month. This optional service offers aided hero progression, the Plus Assistant, and free access to the weekly battle cup.
