Upcoming Kirby: Star Allies Friends Discovered in Game's Code

When Kirby: Star Allies released last month, Nintendo promised periodic game updates that would expand the optional friends available within the game. While this hasn't happened just yet, a data miner discovered what friends are soon to come.

The game already received one update, referred to as Wave 1. This update added characters such as Gooey from Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Marx, the boss from Kirby Super Star to the playable roster. According to code information, the intended characters for Wave 2 and 3 have already been decided.

The discoverer, a data miner and Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland modder known as Reserved Kirby, announced it on Twitter:

"Soooo.... the update data for Star Allies includes the Wave 2 and Wave 3 DLC character entries.

Wave 2 is Adeleine, Daroach and Dark Meta Knight. Wave 3 is Magolor, Taranza, Susie and...the Jambastion Mages?"

As they stated, Adeleine, Daroach, and Dark Meta Knight will be included in the second wave. The third wave should feature Magolor, Taranza, Susie, and the Jambastion Mages.

No word in the code, nor by Nintendo, as to when these waves will launch. Those excited to try them out will simply have to wait.
