Candlelight Studios is soon to bring us its classic-styled JRPG tale, Untold Story, but first, it has decided to tease us with a couple minute-long playable teaser, which you can access on your browser right here.

The teaser, from beginning to end, is quite interesting but annoying, because it does its job properly. Lots of questions crop up, such as: Who is Adrasteia? What's her tale? Who is she referring to on the train? Who is the person with the fox? What's going on with the king? Does the king die!?

Oh, come on, tell us!

Back to Untold Story, it is a NES-styled RPG that merges modern gameplay with engaging storytelling elements that follows Adrasteia, a young knight expelled from her kingdom she served for so long. The story itself centers on the subjects of acceptance, love, and the true meaning of home, which are three ingredients to a captivating tale. Though originally announced earlier this year, Untold Development suffered a delay in favor of the release of Empty Inn; now, the game is back on track, and hopefully will soon show up on platforms.

It's recommended to at least check out the teaser, because admittedly, it does tug at the curiosity. If you want to know more about the game and the developer, you can always check out the exclusive Nintendo Life interview with Candlelight Studios. Personally, I love the fact that the developer's love for Final Fantasy IX drove them into the world of game development. It's one of my favorite games too. The train scene in the teaser definitely is reminiscent of that Final Fantasy gem.
