The developers are best known for their his PlayStation exclusive Until Dawn are planning what they call the Dark Pictures Anthology, a game series paying homage to classic horror film sub-genres. In a discussion with Dale, game director Tom Heaton reveals just how many games they have planned for the anthology.
"We've committed to four games. Three are currently in development at various stages, and Man of Medan is obviously the first one."
Man of Medan is a previously announced horror game by the studio. Expected to be a four to six hour experience, it takes the role of a group of teenagers out to sea for a diving trip. Upon discovering a sunken WWII ship, strange things start happening, including impossible creatures reaching from unlikely depths.
Supermassive also stated a goal to release each title in a six month span. Meaning we could expect two games next year, with the other two in 2020.
More information about Man of Medan and the rest of the Dark Pictures Anthology will come in the near future.
