We’ve spoken rather sporadically about the upcoming Uncharted 4 expansion, The Lost Legacy. Well, if you’re tired of talk and ready for action, I’ve got… bad news, because this post is still more talking. That said, it also includes the date when the talking stops and the action begins, because we now know when the Lost Legacy will fall into our meaty little mitts.

...we’re approaching this project as a true Uncharted game — complete with its own deep narrative with complex character development, all-new destinations, refined gameplay, and blockbuster cinematic moments. We’re especially excited to have Chloe as our new protagonist and explore more of her story as she and Nadine venture across India in search of the fabled Tusk of Ganesh.

Naughty Dog Creative Director Shaun Escayg posted on the Playstation Blog that the upcoming game would launch on August 22nd of 2017 in North America, and the whole 10-hour experience would cost $39.99, or a solid 50 if you’re in Canada.

That’s a lot for a 10-hour campaign, but if happen to have purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer’s Pack, or the Triple Pack, then you get the game for free at launch. If you’re not in that camp, then Naughty Dog would encourage you to pre-order now, as if you do you’ll get a free digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy when it launches on the same day, August 22nd. You also get a PS4 Theme.

So yeah, if you’re a fan of Naugty Dog’s work, you’ll want to grab it while it’s hot.
