Now here's an interesting little twist: what happens when a game about the world's greatest thief is itself stolen?
In a new blog post by Sony's president of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida, Sony has just announced that "some number" of their latest and presumably greatest treasure-hunting, globe-jaunting adventure game, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, has been stolen "while in transit". Which means, right now, a bunch of stolen copies of the game are out and about, floating through the marketplace, where a few copies have surfaces in the UK. That's certainly one way to leak a game, huh?
While Shuhei Yoshida has stated Sony is working with the police to apprehend those responsible, he continues to warn customers that because of this leak, the internet might be awash with spoilers, so to use caution when browsing lest they uncover something they'd rather avoid.
Fortunately, you don't have long you have to walk on eggshells: the game's international launch is May 10th, so you only have about thirteen days before you can gorge on Nathan Drake's final adventure.
So yes, heads up: either be careful on the internet if you want to play the game blind... or find one of those stolen copies and be the jerk spoiling it for everyone else. Choice is yours. I can't tell you how to live your life.
