Uncharted 4 Delayed to 2016

You probably don't have to read this article after a headline like that.

Sony fans have had it rough for the past few months. It seems the Xbox One and Wii U has all the cool exclusives, while ours have either been bad (The Order: 1886) or horrible (Basement Crawl)… all while PC gaming sits smug on its current gaming throne, fanning itself with wads of money while the VR devices and Star Citizen courtesans snicker behind their silken fans…

...I think I’m getting carried away. Point is, all of our good exclusive titles (No Man’s Sky, Bloodborne) aren’t out yet, and it seems one of the most hotly anticipated exclusive title, Uncharted 4: Thief’s End, is being pushed back even further, giving PS4 owners even more reason to sulk. According to Naughty Dog directors Bruce Straley & Neil Druckmann:

After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don’t take lightly — this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for. So we’ve made the difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards, but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.

So instead of the 2015 release date we were looking forward too, Nathan Drake’s final chapter will unfold itself in early 2016. A big blow for sure, but to make sure Nathan’s parting is as beautiful as it can be (before the inevitable remake-prequel here he gets stranded on a cursed island) a few months extra wait is probably worth it. Plus, we have the Uncharted Movie in the future to look forward to as well! Remember that train-wreck waiting to happen?

2016 is gonna be a really good or a really bad year for uncharted fans, is what it amounts too. Depends on how you wanna look at it.
