In this day and age, just about everybody who would buy For Honor probably has internet connection for their PC, Xbox One, or PS4. The real "issue" here comes from the Ubisoft telling the world that the single player experience would be it's own unique part of the game, and last I checked you don't need internet connection to play single player. In an interview in September, Jason VanBerghe stated that:
Its a full story campaign, a cinematic adventure where you will play as the knights first as the Warden, then you play as the Raider, then you play as the Orochi Youll play all through three different regions; the knights homeland, the viking homeland, and the samurai homeland. Youll go on this great adventure We built the campaign so that if you bought the game just for that, that you would be satisfied even if you never went online and played multiplayer. Its intended to be a full experience.
Clearly, this is no longer the case. This was all started because of an updated box cover on Amazon that you can see below. The little label in the corner is letting the whole world know that the campaign might be amazing, but you better make sure you have internet connection if you want to play it. This wont be hurting me at all, but I don't know why Ubisoft would hype up the campaign so much for storyline junkies just to tell them that they actually need internet connection regardless.
