Seems I spoke too soon. That, or I spoke at the perfect time.

Yesterday, we discussed at length how Ubisoft was planning to punish players who exploited the Falcon Down glitch that allowed them to phase through the wall and score some easy loot. Well, the outrage that followed must have hit them a little too hard, as they've recently announced over Twitch that while they're still going to be pursing these glitch exploiters, they were at least going to start giving out compensation for players who have been affected by their other numerous glitches.

Specifically, if you were affected by the semi-famous backpack glitch, you're about to be compensated with 500 phoenix credits and 10 of each high-level crafting material within the next two weeks. More broadly, anyone who logs in this weekend will get 150 phoenix credits to apologize for the daily challenges that didn't update for three consecutive days.

So, that's nice. I mean, it's not as nice as having a non-buggy game, but it's still a step in the right direction--a step it desperately needs to taken, given that this game's survive-ability hinges on the goodwill it can foster between itself and the community.

So yeah, moral of the story: make a point to log in over the weekend for those phoenix credits.
