Ubisoft Changes Its Logo for the First Time in 14 Years

I'm still not sure what to think of it.

It's been 2017 for just about half a year now, and Ubisoft has decided to make a rather... strange change. You know the famous Ubisoft Swirl logo? Well, there is a new one... and it just...

I don't know what to think of it, truth be told.

Apparently, the new swirl is an evolution of the existing logo - is it really an evolution?

Anyway, this marks a new era for Ubisoft, as the company has increased its focus on live and digital games, as well as a player-centric approach to creating immersive worlds.

Immersive worlds that expand beyond video games - we are talking books, comics, movies, TV shows, and amusement park rides. In fact, the swirl and the letter O are deliberately created to be reminiscent of the hand-drawn shapes and represent the company's human qualities of enthusiasm, curiosity and the grain de folie that Ubisoft is known for.

Have to give them that, even if some of the games feel a little... unfinished.

So what do you think of the new logo? Do you like it? Or are you disappointed with it?
