If you've seen this picture before, it shouldn't come as a surprise to you. It was posted online 15 years ago and has become quite popular since then. For years, people have been claiming that they know this kid or that they were at the event when this happened, which is just not true. The facts are on the table now, and we know exactly what happened here.

This was a group of about 10 friends who were very interested in LANs. Granted, this was back in 2002, explaining why Counter-Strike can be seen on the computer screens. In 2002, life was Counter-Strike, Command and Conquer, and Starcraft for LAN party enthusiasts. One day, all the kids were playing in the basement when somebody had the thought, "we can probably duct tape somebody to that beam."

The rest is history. They all went to the store to get food, drinks, and duct tape before selecting their target. On their first attempt, the boy lasted about 10 minutes. The tape was cutting off circulation and didn't feel good, so they tried again. They used pillows in their second design, which allowed him to remain suspended for over 2 hours before it became too hot.

The computer was completely secondary. After seeing him up there, the other guys decided that they should stack up tables so he could keep playing with his friends. This was just another day for the guys, but they decided to get a little silly. After finding out so much surrounding this picture, I would actually love to try gaming while suspended. I don't know if it would hurt my neck and arms, or if it would be the most comfortable experience of my life.
