Players are about to discover the secrets Tropico has been protecting for years as Espionage, the next major content expansion for Kalypso's Tropico 5, marches forth on May 28th. This sneaky expansion features a militaristic flair with a focus on spies. Expect the new campaign "The Maltese Toucan" to engross you as El Presidente, for you must protect Tropico's treasures from foreign agents.

You will receive access to Security Checkpoints, a new Dungeon, a Spy Academy for where you can train your spies, a Ministry of Information, and additional air security with the introduction of the Police Blimp. The campaign will contain six missions stuffed with manipulation, revolts, and sabotage. This addition is all about spying and thwarting even the strongest of attacks.

Here is a list of features within the expansion:
  • New campaign and thrilling story spanning 6 missions
  • 9 new spy and military themed buildings
  • 4 new island maps, such as "Dos Torres," and "Grito Grande"
  • 4 new music tracks
  • 4 new avatar costumes, such as "Evening Gown" for the female and the "Tuxedo" for the male
  • 6 new avatar accessories, such as the "Spy" hat and the "Long Curls" hair do
  • New sandbox tasks and events to go with the new espionage setting
All new content plus the new spying mechanics are also available in existing Sandbox maps and in all multiplayer modes

The PC, Mac and SteamOS versions are due for release on May 28th for a price of $19.99, with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 versions to arrive at a later date.
