- Selphie Tilmitt, Final Fantasy VIIITrain train, take us away, far away, to the future, we will go. Where it leads, no one knows.
Trains can be incredibly fascinating for one reason or another, whether it be the "creative" grafitti littering the train walls, the speed of a bullet train, or the possible traverse underneath an ocean.
Well, this article is not about Final Fantasy VIII, so much as about the Free USA DLC for Urban Games and Gambitious's Train Fever, available on Steam for $34.99.
What's included in this train simulator DLC are over 50 pure 'Merican vehicles, such as trains, buses, streetcars and trucks. Similar to the European mode, the player begins in the year 1850, which then extends into 150 years. What else has changed is the environment, which has shifted into more of a American Western-style setting.
What's neat is that the DLC has been developed as a collaboration effort with the modding community. Modders themselves have contributed more than 15 of the vehicles, so it's no surprise that Urban Games and Gambitious has released extended USA DLC modding support for the game.
Train Fever is all about train management, where players can build infrastructure, buy rolling stock, manage the lines and watch the changes influenced by their decisions.
