Creative Assembly made one of the best in the Total War franchise, Total War: Rome II. Published by Sega, this is the best selling game in the franchises history, and they plan on supporting the game and its fans.

Announced March 13, Total War: Rome II will receive new expansion beginning March 27. When speaking to IGN, Mike Simpson says We are committed to improving and adding to the game over the coming months; we very much want Rome II to be remembered as one of our best.

The expansion is called Hannibal at the Gates, and features a new campaign, five playable factions, new units, a new route to diplomacy for certain factions, and more. In the closing of the press release, Creative Assembly will also release some free DLC to anyone whos bought the game.

As a fan of the series, any news about keeping this iteration alive and breathing is okay by me. Hopefully the support will last well beyond what they've announced thus far.
