The PS4 has been out for some time now and many launch titles have received poor ratings and even Battlefield 4 has been criticized a lot since the release. Still, the PlayStation 4 had a successful launch and there are some great games for it already. Here is a list of the top five PS4 launch games, so if you only have the cash to buy a couple games right now then you should definitely consider the games on this list! They are games that I have played and enjoyed, but I even checked out the online reviews to verify my judgment and these games have all received positive reviews. There were 24 PS4 launch titles, some of them are on the PS3 and some are exclusive to the PS4.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Probably the best Assassin's Creed game yet, with stunning visuals that the other AC games lacked. Yes, you might be used to climbing up on rooftops, but now you are in the ocean on a ship. The story is rather unusual and most don't agree with the story and how it went, but still, looting other people's ships sounds kinda fun..

Resogun - Resogun is a unique game, it does a good job at demonstrating the amount of particles the PS4 can display on one screen, but it's a fun game that everyone can enjoy. This game is actually quite complex though, as it gives you a ton of control over the map, which is extremely chaotic. It is a twin-stick shooter, so it definitely gives you something different to play.

Need for Speed: Rivals - If you want a game that displays the graphic capabilities of the PlayStation 4 then you should check out Need for Speed: Rivals. It is the most recent EA racing game that features a good mix of precision control and car combat, so driving is really action-packed in this game. This game makes everyone's "top PS4 games" list, and it definitely deserves the credit.

Battlefield 4 - Despite the bugs and bad ratings at first, Battlefield 4 is still a great game. The campaign isn't so special though, so if you want this game for offline action then you will most likely be disappointed. Battlefield 4 is great because the multiplayer is better than ever, especially with Obliteration mode. Obliteration mode is where you capture a bomb and plant it on your enemy's base - it is very addicting! There is also a new feature called Levolution, which is where a player can trigger a destruction in the map and of course, everything changes. The PS4 version supports up to 64 players on a map, just like the PC version.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The best LEGO Adventure yet! LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is a free-roaming game that lets you unlock over 100 characters, which consists of heroes and villains. Free-roam around New York City as your favorite Marvel super hero and explore to find new characters and secrets. This is a very addicting game, easily one of the top five PS4 launch titles.

There are other great PS4 launch titles that didn't make my top five list but I definitely thought about including them. Since there was 24 launch titles and I played about half of them my experience is limited, but I have read many reviews on the following games and they seem worthy of a "top five" list as well - here they are...

Call of Duty: Ghosts - Like many of the Call of Duty games before it, CoD: Ghosts is often criticized for being more of the same. It's really not much different from Black Ops II, but if you are a hardcore CoD fan you will appreciate the new Extinction game mode.

DC Universe Online - DC Universe Online is a free-to-play game, but paid subscribers will get the expansion content and a larger roster. If you have an account on the PS3 then you can move your characters over to the PS4, which is awesome because most games don't allow that. Since the PS4 offers such amazing performance and visuals, this MMO will definitely be more fun to play on a PS4.

Warframe - Another free-to-play game that has received nothing but positive reviews, and for a good reason. Warframe features a completely original story, where you are a character that wears a suit, or armor, called a "Warframe". It's very interesting, as you defend the solar system from hostile alien threats.

Conclusion
Well there you have it, the five best PS4 launch games! Do you agree with my top five list or do you think I should have picked a different game? I put Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag at the top of this list as it is my personal favorite of the five, and Battlefield 4 barely made it to the list due to the bugs and poor reviews when it first came out. However, there are some other games that might deserve a spot in the top five but I haven't played them yet...
