Top 5 Spooky Games To Play on Halloween

So it's Halloween today which means it's time to either dress up as slutty kittens or simply sit down on the couch and play scary games with friends... Yeah, I think I'll be doing the later.

With that said, we figured it was a good day to make a list of the Top 5 Spooky Games to play on Halloween tonight. Lets also note that as a gamer I respect all these games equally so they are in no particular order, they're all just great games. Oh, and just to note I have linked each game to their respective Steam page in case you want to get in on the action this evening!



So that terrifying face comes from a more recent game called Outlast. In Outlast you play as a reporter trapped in a Psychiatric hospital ran by its homicidal patients. Throughout the game you have no ability to fight the patients besides various cut scenes where you shove them out of the way. It's a game that I am sometimes hesitant to play because of how terrifying it is.



I now present to you the first Deadspace. In this wonderfully terrifying game you play as an engineer on an abandoned spacecraft. On this spacecraft are Necromorphs and reanimated dead bodies. This is a game that I have only ever managed to play with friends as it has many jump scares throughout cut scenes and gameplay. 



That face you see there is Leon S. Kennedy, the star of Resident Evil 4. Usually I would never choose a 4th game as one of my favorites but this game is an exception. Throughout the game you are trying to rescue the president's daughter who was kidnapped by some creepy guys in a cult. Playing as a secret agent you must find and defend the girl then fight the creepy guys in the cult and then fight zombies. It's a very continuous action packed game!



Slender - The Arrival is a game I feel as though the majority of people on the internet have at least heard of which is why I must include it on the list. Originating from a creepy past, this game has taken over the internet and now our consoles in more recent times (a month ago). In the game you travel through the forest looking for notes and if you are so lucky you will inevitably see Slender and have your screen go fuzzy. I think this game is absolutely incredible to play late at night.



I'll admit I did save the best for last as I do love this game! Those great men and women are the stars of valves hit game Left 4 Dead 2. I admire this game for many reasons from its long story to its ability to play as zombies to its co-op feature to play with friends. I have put more hours in this game than every game on PS Vita combined. Oh, and don't forget toe cool crew from the first Left 4 Dead.
