It's been about two months since Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 was released. Our decks and our motivations alike are looking pretty shredded. But we don't need to succumb to this fate. A new update has added new challenges, tours, gear, and more, including some Crash Bandicoot merch.

An update to THPS1&2 released earlier today on all platforms. The update tweaks the multiplayer rewards and introduces a selection of new content.

Solo Tour Mode

Now you will be able to replay the THPS 1 and 2 Tours again, this time with individual skaters. All goals and medals will be reset, allowing you to collect Stat Points and max out the potential of each skater.

The previous tour system will be relocated to Crew Tours, so don't worry about lost progress.

New Challenges

To give players even more to do, they've added over 100 new Challenges across 10 new Challenge Sets. There are new objects for Solo Tour, Multiplayer, Classic, and more.

New Items, Merch, Etc.

Publisher Activision also owns another prevalent IP, Crash Bandicoot. And to celebrate/promote the launch of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, a number of Crash-related items have been added to the Create-A-Skater item selection. This includes shirts, hats, and board designs.

Not everything is a cross promotion, though. This next addition is all about the Birdman himself. Made in collaboration with The Skatepark Project, 10 new decks will be added to the Create-A-Skater selection. The Skatepark Project aims to create public skateparks in underserved communities. The decks themselves will be a combination of Birdhouse and Powell-Peralta decks. Available for a limited time, all net proceeds from the packs purchase will help fund the non-profit.

The last batch is all fan created. Three select fans were declared the winners of a recently held community contest to design their own decks. As a reward, their designs are now in the game. Find them in the Create-a-Skater section.

Challenge and Tuning Updates

Developers at Vicarious Visions have also tweaked some of the rewards and multiplayer playlists. Cash and EXP will be more rewarding depending on your skill level. Jams and Competitive multiplayer will also feature a better randomization for parks and scores, creating more variety in continued play.

While not all the content is inherently free, the update itself IS free to all platforms and is available now. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 and 2 is available now for $40. There is also a Deluxe Edition for $50.
